“Hi Crystal,

Here is my pink Marin mtbike named “Paris”, her full name is “Paris and Nicole”.  I have asked my biker friend’s 14 year-old son to design a pink/white bike and we brought it to Manila’s popular frame painter.  Had the frame and fork painted and I absolutely love it!

Took it trail riding immediately.  I was having a great time but as you can see the cow wasn’t event fazed with my bike’s color!

Happy riding everyone!

My name is Tim Potuijt and am living in Rotterdam in the Netherlands. I was surfing and searching on the web for pink tires. Than I came on your site! Realy cool, a site for pink bikes! :-) I got three of them! Pink is my favourite colour, it makes me happy! My bikes, a touring bike (that was the first one) racingbike and mountainbike are all painted in Magenta (RAL 4010).

The race- and mountainbikeframe are both a Ridley. You can have painted your bike there in any colour and have any tekst on the frame! To the mountainbike frame I add the Magura Durin fork and Magura Louise brakes. Magura’s colour of the year for 2008 was/is pink!

I ride my racing bike on the road here in Holland (the flat lands) and in the France Alps. Did the Alpe d’ Hues this year. The ATB I ride as well in the Alps and in the Ardenes in Belgium. Also in the woods and dunes here in Holland! My touring bike in my own city.

Pink rules!

“My boyfriend took [this photo] on our first little outing at a park.  I’m still a beginner’s beginner (he’s more of an intermediate expert i guess)  so me and my pink bike haven’t been on any real trails yet.  But I look forward to it and he is a great teacher!

“I should tell you–  your site is what convinced me that it was ‘cool’ to get a pink bike.  I’ve never really seen myself as a pink kind of woman… but he thought I’d really like it and found your site to show me.  And I got hooked.  I love it!

“Sooo… It’s a: GT Avalanche 3.0 (women’s specific)  And I got it offline at performancebike.com (for a great price I might add.)  We’re currently located in North Carolina and we’re hoping to get some time off to go to Ashland.  We’ve heard that there is some awesome riding to do out there.

“As for accessories, I’m assuming you mean bike parts- I haven’t added any… but I’m happy to tell you he bought my riding outfit for me for my birthday from Dicks Sporting Goods, including helmet, gloves, spare tire, and a bike tool.

“I just wanted to contribute to your FABULOUS site.  Thank you so much for the opportunity.”

Hey there,

Saw your site – looks cool.

Thought you could post my new Yeti.

It’s an ASR-sl with Carbon rear, full XT gear (Dual Control) with beautiful Pink Chris King Hubs and Head Set.

Bought the frame from ‘for-the-Riders” in Brissy – those guys are great. And made the bits up from various suppliers.

I ride mainly Mt Coot-tha, Bunyaville and Daisy Hill in Brisbane Australia.

Cheers

Kanako sent photos of three pink bikes:

Hello Crystal,
I love pink and love your site.  Here are my 3 pink bikes.
1)    Custom Bike
I got this bike custom made with my first salary after college about 20 years ago in Japan.  I brought it all the way to the US.  I don’t ride it much now but still love this bike!
2)    Cannondale
With all pinkness on the bike, as well as my pink helmet, socks and jersey, I won the most color-coordinated award in the 2008 Redmond-to-Spokane (WA, 300 miles) ride.
3)    Marin
I had never mountain-biked before but had to buy this beautiful bike!  Now, though not very good at it, I love mountain-biking.

Thank you!
Kanako

Jayme Elrod’s pink bicycle

Here’s a picture of my brand new pink bike. It’s an all-mountain Banshee Rune that I got custom painted, because I always wanted a pink bike with 6 inches of travel! It’s got a pink, white and black plaid saddle and pink Industry-9 hubs with black spokes. Got it from the best bike shop in the world: Re:Cycles Bike Shop here in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The site’s awesome, by the way, Jayme Elrod

The story: I had decided that I wanted a mountain bike (living in the Bay Area, there are so many opportunities to ride in dirt, and I was tired of missing out). So for the most part, I was surfing craigslist seeing if there was anything I liked. Finally, I started looking on well-known MTB manufacturers product lines: Kona, Santa Cruz, Giant, Marin…

I searched Marin, and saw this bike, and absolutely fell in love with it. I knew that I needed it. I had to call about eight shops in the bay area that stocked Marins. Finally one shop (Freewheel Cyclery on Valencia St. in San Francisco) could get a hold of one of five unclaimed pink Bear Valleys that were in a shipment on the way to the East coast, which I immediately put down my deposit on.

I have loved it ever since I got it: riding it at China Camp Regional park single track in Marin County, CA, Granite Bay near Sacramento, and just for fun at the radio telescope that I work at: in the White Mountains in central California. I bought this Marin Bear Valley pink hardtail in 2007. It’s a 15″ with pretty standard components (Deore and Acera), but I’ve upgraded the headset to a pewter Chris King, fork to a Fox TALAS, and the handlebars to Holzfellers. And of course, the pedals were upgraded to PINK Crank Bros. Candies!

I will upgrade the other parts as they begin to break (a.k.a. I begin to tackle more rocky/technical terrain, thus falling down enough to break things…)

Two years ago – he gave me my Specialized Road Bike…. this year I got this FABULOUS PINK Trek 6700 WSD Mountain Bike for our trailriding! I can’t wait for this winter to break and for the trails to open! When they do…. I’ll forward a photo of me with my Pink bike as dirty as it should be!!!!”
