“I call my bike color ‘bubblegum’ … to differentiate it from just being another pink bike.
“It is a custom made recumbent lowracer LWB (long wheel base) with underseat steering. I can draft DF bikes, but they can’t draft my low-drag profile. This thing really rips! I was assisted in the design and construction by S&B Recumbents of Gardena, CA. It has a 4130 Chromo main tube … 20″ rear wheel. It uses 2 chains and an intermediate idler gear at a 1.25:1 ratio that makes me competitive with 26″ rear wheels. And I’m very competitive. (I’ve also scared a lot of 700c wheels)
“When I went to get it plasticoated … they were out of fluorescent lime green. I didn’t want to spend the extra $68 to purchase more. So, I went with ‘bubblegum’ which seems to give me good visibility in traffic.
“The foto shows me sitting on my recumbent … I don’t worry much about falling over.

Crystal, I learned about your website from a friend, and thought you might like to post my hot pink trike. It is my favorite of my four bikes – I’ve ridden it on RAGBRAI and CANDISC. It is a CATRIKE, made in Florida. Joan
