“Just picked up my fiancé’s bike from our LBS after having it ‘Pinked Out.’ She rides a 12 mile loop just about everyday in a nearby neighborhood here in Tallahassee, FL. And we ride together on the weekends on the St. Marks Trail (35 miles) and often the same loop she does during the week. I’m so glad I got her into cycling and she actually loves it (maybe not as obsessively as I do!) but she does really enjoy getting out on her bike a lot.

“I had a set of new Easton EA50 SL wheels put on, complete with the Schwalbe Stelvio pink tires that I got on a closeout sale from BikeTiresDirect.com (still selling for $37.95/ea as of 1/16/09)

“Also purchased the Jagwire pink cable kit from the LBS along with some black and pink Specialized bottle cages.

“The floral patterned pink bar tape was on sale at Performance for around $7.99.

“To top it off I picked up a pair of Tifosi Slip sunglasses in metallic pink to go with her Pearl Izumi pink jersey she got for xmas.

“I suppose she’ll be needing a pink helmet of some sort soon too.

“She’s really gonna flip when she gets home this afternoon and finds her all bike is now black & pink!  It’s an early birthday gift (since her actual bday is in Feb.)”

“I stumbled across your site and thought you may be interested in my Scott Contessa CR1. It has Dura-ace gearing and wheel, stevillo pink tyres, pink speed play pedals. The tri-bars have neon pink tape where I have used white on the drops. My Fav touch are the pink name stickers!

“I use it for triathlons and riding out with my local club the medway velos.”

My name is Tim Potuijt and am living in Rotterdam in the Netherlands. I was surfing and searching on the web for pink tires. Than I came on your site! Realy cool, a site for pink bikes! :-) I got three of them! Pink is my favourite colour, it makes me happy! My bikes, a touring bike (that was the first one) racingbike and mountainbike are all painted in Magenta (RAL 4010).

The race- and mountainbikeframe are both a Ridley. You can have painted your bike there in any colour and have any tekst on the frame! To the mountainbike frame I add the Magura Durin fork and Magura Louise brakes. Magura’s colour of the year for 2008 was/is pink!

I ride my racing bike on the road here in Holland (the flat lands) and in the France Alps. Did the Alpe d’ Hues this year. The ATB I ride as well in the Alps and in the Ardenes in Belgium. Also in the woods and dunes here in Holland! My touring bike in my own city.

Pink rules!

“My friend Josh and I spent the last month stripping down and converting this schwinn road bike for my fiance’s wedding gift. We ordered the majority of the parts from various ebay stores and other online bike shops. Our wedding day is 10-10-08 and I hope that she loves this as much as I loved building it.”

Congratulations on both your marriage and the new bike!

“I’m from the Philippines and I ride a pink bike!

“My bike’s name is Andie, named after the girl from Pretty in Pink.  Andie is a road bike.  I’ve been riding mountain bike for almost 4 years now, and road for almost 3 years.  I do a lot of racing both in cycling and multisport.  When I was building this bike, I wanted a very feminine, cutesy type of bike, but with deceiving looks, so it also has to be a very fast machine!  Though I continuously work on the engine (that’s me), Andie does have some light, fast (and cute) components to keep her on top of her game!  I got all the parts from various local bike shops here in Manila, while the rear purple skewer was given to me by a fellow cyclist I met during the Tour of EGAT in Thailand.  He liked my purple tires and gave me the skewer to match!  The pink Speedplay pedals were a surprise gift from my boyfriend!

“The frame is Cannondale Six13 Feminine, a women-specific frame in Pearl White.  It has a sort of rockstar look to it.  If you look closely, the frame has tiny white glitters and pale yellow stars painted on random parts of the frame.  I used as many pink accessories as I can, as long as it looks good with the overall harmonic pinkness of the bike.  Right now, I have a pink saddle (that says ‘Ride Like a Girl’), pink Speedplay pedals, Jagwire cables and bar tape.  I also have purple tires and a purple rear skewer.  The gold chain adds extra ‘bling-age’ to the white frame and pink components.  I think it makes the bike look more outgoing and fun.

“I’m waiting for the pink Hudz for Ultegra to come out!  I’d also like to get a set of pink tires, skewers, carbon spacers, seatpost clamp, bottle cages and screws, all in baby pink!  I’ll have to keep looking around and find them though.  I also saw some pink brake pads in a bike shop a while back, but they’re for mountain bikes.  I’ll have to check if they’re available for road.  Finally, I’ll have a sticker made, with ‘Andie’ written in silver letters to put on the frame.”
