pink bicycle from Mt Airy Bicycles

Larry Black from Mt Airy Bicycles wrote to share a link to his store’s used bike database – which happens to include a number of used pink bikes for sale. Larry writes: “My daughter’s first bike from the 80′s will be on next week. [Her] first ride was 14 miles, she was 12. Made it through serious hills and traffic safely and rammed the steel gate pulling into the driveway – crunched that frame – we straightened it out at the shop, then brought it home and she had the right nail polish to touch up the flaked off paint. “A great advantage to pink – plenty of nail polish colors available.” pink bicycle from Mt Airy Bicycles

Eric Jensen writes: “Here are photos of the three pink bikes I have owned. The first (photo not too good) is a fairly pale shade and actually I had it painted pink three times over about 15 years of use. The second is the stock color of the Specialized Team Stumpjumper, year about 1986; the color was half the reason I bought it. The tandem was built by a friend and myself out of two regular mountain bike frames. It rode GREAT, we could even double no hand it down hills, and it was the first tandem to compete in a mountain bike race in Michigan (about 1988). Keep up the good work, I love girlbike.com…”
